From the breeder:

My cattery is named for & dedicated to the memory of my mom, “Elo”, who spent her life serving all creatures with love & compassion. Mom worked for the Humane Society for over 32 years & was a radio & TV advocate for animals. She introduced me, at a tender age, to the beautiful cat breed & I fell head over heels in love.

From the breeder:

I have enjoyed this hobby for many years. At this time we breed only one or maybe two Birman litters a year and attend occasional CFA cat shows when we can. We prefer to breed a litter in response to deposits received for kittens so there may seldom be a kitten unless you have planned well in advance for the addition of a Birman kitten into your life.

Registered Birman breeders will have kittens for sale in frost, blue, chocolate, seal, red, cream, cinnamon, lilac, and fawn among other variations.

Birman cats are known to be easygoing and gentle, making them a great companion for families with children or dogs. When considering a Birman for your family, it’s important to note that given their build they can be prone to weight gain and need regular exercise. Birmans also prefer not to be alone, so a furry companion should be considered if your house is often empty.

  • Whether they've bred their Birman Cats with other breeds (they should disclose this and it would make it not a purebred lien.

I have had two interests since I was very young… the Internet and cats. I grew up with two lovely cats in my family, Midnight and Chloe. But when I started looking for a cat as an adult, I realized how few reliable resources there are for finding ethical breeders. So I combined my Internet skills and cat knowledge to create Cat Kingpin, the #1 resource for cat breeders online. Have a question or suggestion for my list? You can reach me here.
